When we reflect upon the immigrant family, what do we see?
Strength, determination, walking into the unknown but walking together, carrying the future in one's arms and all that one owns on their backs. Within that bag (and in their hearts) they carry dreams, hopes, memories, culture, riches, uniqueness, history, talents, and desire. To work, to survive, to prosper, to see a better life for these children.
They are us.
